The New England Biology Association of Two-Year Colleges is an organization dedicated to developing knowledge and community among biology professors throughout New England. The first gathering of this group occurred in 2006, and our first Conversation (our annual meeting) was in 2007. In 2016 we held our 10th Conversation at the Community College of Rhode Island. Our sponsors enable us to meet for free each year, and provide us with free lunch and plenty of time to interact.
Conversation 2019 will be held at Dean College on:
Thursday, May 23, 2019
Please save the date! Dean College is located at 99 Main St, Franklin, MA 02038.
Dr. Monica Linden, Senior Lecturer in Neuroscience at Brown University, will offer the keynote presentation about her experiences using technology to support learning in her courses as well as share her interest in creating inclusive classrooms to honor the diversity of her students.
Consider presenting something next year at Conversation 2019. You don't have to give a full "talk." We want conversations.
If you do any fun, short activity, share it at an activity table. No fancy preparation needed. Just submit your idea on our proposal page.
Please consider leading a "Conversation" at our next gathering. You can choose a 50 minute conversation on lecture or lab topics, or a 10 minute sharing opportunity on a particular activity. We will send out a call for proposals to everyone on our mailing list during the school year.
If you have an idea about something to share with your peers, visit the Call for Proposals page.
We only write you about the upcoming Conversation, and we do not give out your email information to others. Feel free to join us (for free) and stay apprised of events. Click here to sign up for our mailing list.
