The New England Biology Association of Two-Year Colleges is an organization dedicated to developing knowledge and community among biology professors throughout New England. The first gathering of this group occurred in 2006, and our first Conversation (our annual meeting) was in 2007. In 2016 we held our 10th Conversation at the Community College of Rhode Island. Our sponsors enable us to meet for free each year, and provide us with free lunch and plenty of time to interact.
Our next Conversation will be held at Dean College. Again, we will aim for the week between finals and graduation at most of our participating colleges, but it will be a date that works for Dean College. Please consider coming. Dean College is located at 99 Main St, Franklin, MA 02038.
We will post updates when we have them. In the meantime, follow the link to the page about our 2018 Conversation to see photos from the day.
Consider presenting something next year at Conversation 2019. You don't have to give a full "talk." We want conversations.
If you do any fun, short activity, share it at an activity table. No fancy preparation needed. Just submit your idea on our proposal page.
Please consider leading a "Conversation" at our next gathering. You can choose a 50 minute conversation on lecture or lab topics, or a 10 minute sharing opportunity on a particular activity. We will send out a call for proposals to everyone on our mailing list during the school year.
If you have an idea about something to share with your peers, visit the Call for Proposals page.
We only write you about the upcoming Conversation, and we do not give out your email information to others. Feel free to join us (for free) and stay apprised of events. Click here to sign up for our mailing list.
